Yemen backpacked...and more.

December 2000

SUPRISE: We're heading back for Yemen...only we,ve left our camper at home in the Netherlands and packed our gear in two backpacks...and FLY to avoid the problematic border crossings with Saudi-Arabia and Yemen with their burocratic rules, visa problems and border closure because of the recent outbreak of the Rift Valley Virus.

Via Syria to Turkey back up to Greece.... And thinking how we can change our plans for the comming months.

Turkey-Syria-Yordan, with Petra as one of our most beautiful experiences, and Aquaba as our most Southern point of destination.

Rescheduled our plans to start the the trip at the 1st of august 2000.
Announced the sabbatical to our employers. (See work section)

Realised that our diesel fuel capacity is not sufficient, started preps for installing a bigger fuel tank.
